Hi all
I had AVN and i had a core decompression surgery on both knees and ankles last april. I was hoping that it will be better so i can walk without the stick. Last October i felt abit better that i bought a foldable sticks and i felt i was having my independence back. In November i had a flareup and had to start taking steroids again 20mg.
Since starting the steroids my knee has started hurting. Especially my right knee, i can barely stand in church. I had to get my crutches on my left hand to take the weight off my right knee. Crutches give me higher support but now my left hip is beginning to hurt too. I am considering getting a mobility scooter to be able to move around in the shops. I feel am too young to use it but my mobility says otherwise.
I have my next orthopedic appointment in June. My last appointment, i had an x-ray and they said the knee was not collapsing . My surgeon said my lupus may be the cause of the pain. Things have gotten worse since then even with my regular swimming and hydrotherapy, still my situation is not good. I do not know what to do, should i manage till June or should i caĺl them and tell them what is happening?
Pls has anyone had AVN and did it reoccure after surgery. Thanks and God bless
Regards
