Hi,

I see Professor Caroline Gordon at Birmingham city hospital. She runs a lupus centre of excellence. I can't speak highly enough of her and her team.

Very experienced in the condition and related illnesses and very proactive.

Hi Tiny, thanks for this. I will ask to be referred there then. A lupus centre of excellence is what I want!

I see dr samaranayaka in Crewe. She is amazing. Takes every symptom seriously and investigates even small changes. I can't compliment the whole hospital enough they are so proactive and none of my specialists ever makes me feel like I'm wasting time

Wow sounds great Neiluk...I need someone like that. I'm sick of doctors who don't seem to take all of my symptoms seriously or are too inexperienced to to know them all.

I was referred to Prof Gordon's clinic by my Rheumy. I travelled 120 miles each way and saw a different doctor at every single appointment - there was no continuity whatsoever. I'm better off at my local hospital being seen by the same Rheumy each time.

Hi Clare, hmm no it isn't great to have to see different doctors every time you go...that's one thing I don't like either. So you didn't feel as though the QE were offering you any better treatment than your local hospital?
