Good news...i think.

Hey Everyone. I had my appointment with my rehumy, and, they've come to the conclusion that, although some of my bloods which were positive are seen in lupus, because my DNA-strand blood test is normal, they believe it's unlikely that I have lupus, which is great news :) They do believe, however, that my APS is mimicking the symptoms of lupus, which sucks in a way. So, the title of my post saying, 'I think', is that I've now been refereed to see a neurologist because of the muscle fasciculations I'm getting. One thing after another, ugh.

Having said that, I'll still keep part of the community, because It is possible that the test that's currently negative could change in the future. And I'd like to still be involved in other posts with any advice I can offer.

Hope everyone is well. Take care x

Do you have an APS/Hughes Syndrome specialist.

Warning. I am of absolutely no help.

I have SLE and APS. and a recent MRI that showed no neuro problems from either of these conditions. (Although I do have another unrelated - bang on the head - neuro issue)

I have those muscle fasciculations myself, but not due to APS. (sorry, you can clearly see how unhelpful I am now)

I literally have no idea why I'm getting this symptom. But from my very amateur googling - I've always put it down to either chemical imbalances from renal issues or having some peripheral nervous system damage from an SLE related B12 deficiency many moons ago. Quite possibly a combo ???

In truth I am totally ignorant.

I'm certainly not saying don't see the neuro - (definitely do)

Its just my very subjective thought is that another opinion on the Lupus would not be a waste of time. Brilliant that you probably don't have it ! just have a triple or quadruple check.

X
