Does anyone have heart palpitations? I get this every day, my heart seems to beat really hard, it feels like I can feel my pulse all over my body. Almost like a panic attack without the panic!

Hi fisher63, yes i do and also get inernal shaking. My gp put it down to irregular heartbeat. I cant sleep most nights with it. Wakes me up and if im out in the garden for more than 15 mins, they start. The palpitations have worsened this yr. Horrid experience xxx
I find I get this for lots of reasons - when I am hungry, too hot, over-doing it or stressed. It can then cease when I eat or drink - dehydration can cause it for me and tiredness or too long in the sun, although I don't spend more than a few minutes and don't sit in it. I have had it on and off for many years and it is in my records as tachycardia and arrhythmia. I do my best not to worry about it, as I now feel if it was really serious I would have dropped dead by now!
Yes I get it aswell. It is I horrible feeling, I feel as though I can feel ever pulse in my body beating and I also feel like it is a panic attack without the panic, like you and I get really hot and I get at mild fever of between 98.8 and 100 degrees. I feel like I need to have a drink of something really cold and sit under a fan to cool off. Mine is brought on when out in the sun too long or when I eat too many sugary things for some strange reason that I dont understand.
I get this heavy beat maybe only ten times but makes me want to jump up when it happens had ECGs nothing untowards
If anyone has palpitations do NOT allow your GP to dismiss it as "irregular heartbeat..." Yes, that is the lable - elt for some forms you require medication to reduce the risk of stroke. It is greatly undervalued in the UK - I don't know why. When my atrial fibrillation (caused by the autoimmune disorder I have) was diagnosed here in Italy I wasn't allowed out of hospital until I was stable on an anticoagulant to reduce that risk.
Be firm...
How long has this been going on? Have you had a physical lately. How is your thyroid ?
Yes I get extreme breathlessness, bad chest pain and palps. I can't even turn over in bed sometimes without an attack of this. Has been going on for years. A few weeks ago it disappeared completely and my chest felt very light for a change, it was great! Now its all back again. Currently under a second round of investigations but so far nothing found.
Fishers63, yes I have the same thing. When it first happened I thought it was a earth quake but no one else felt it. It happens to mostly when I'm laying in bed. I asked my RA Dr and she I needed to talk to my gp. It just seems strange to me that a lot of us are having this so I would think it might have something to due with our disease.
This is terrible I get this, too! My doctor says it the prednisone.
I do also
