No. A blood count is usually the FBC blood test ( which checks haemoglobin, white cells, platelets etc ).
The test for diabetes is a glucose blood test usually a fasting one, an oral glucose challenge test or an HbA1c which gives the average sugar levels in the blood over the past few months.
With a full blood count they can check if your sugar levels are high or low. If they think something is wrong with your levels they will ask you back for a fasting blood test. As a fbc level will be slightly off due to stuff being in your system. Also whatever you do don't eat a banana before hand as that will shoot your levels straight up.
