just started having headaches coming of Prednisone
Maybe you are reducing too fast?? I get really bad pain in my joints and a bad headache if I reduce quickly. Everyone is different but I am reducing by 1mg per month. Hope you get sorted soon!
I agree, reducing too quickly does produce flare symptoms , I always get nose bleeds when I flare. 55mg is a lot to come down from, Img a month is right, quicker and you risk having to go back up again to stop the pain and nose bleeds. Best of luck.
That is a fast reduction. I have started to reduce from 6 mg and it is going to take over 8 months to do it as do a month of 6/ 5 then a month of 5 then a month 5/4 ....... try slowing down how you are doing it.
Thst is a fast reduction as I was on 10mg for sometime and nw I'm down to 7.5 and I'm getting headakes but I'm waiting for my body to to tolerate it because I wona come off steroids ASAP
Sounds to me like your tapering way to fast in the later stages of the tapering. You say your taking 5mg every other mmmmm I have never been told that. I have always down 5mg on day then 2.5mg then 5mg then 2.5mg thats for 3 weeks then 2.5mg one day then 2mg the other and then 2.5mg etc...thats for 2 weeks then 2mg every other day for a week. then you should be ok. Your body hits the wall if you taper to fast, and you get really bad head aches, flu like symptoms and you feel as though you have been hot by a bus.. Good Luck x
I forgot to say you should be using this tapering system from 10mg to 7.5 then 5 to 2.5 then 2mg coming down such a big dose like you are you must feel really ruff.
