Thanks everyone for all your posts on here,it's helped me a lot over the last few years. At last have a diagnoses ,which I knew all along , but was very hard to get in writing to my Dr.i just feel so much better knowing and can deal with it quite happily, just wish the medical world would realise that years of waiting is so depressing, even my husband said I'm so much happier, endoorfins now have kicked in. Thank youGuys hospital staff.

So pleased for you Chaimee. I wish I could get a diagnosis. It's like having an open secret. GPs happy to call it lupus, A&E Drs say "of course you know this is a lupus flare", but the man who has to put his name to a diagnosis understandably needs more evidence. He is one of the good guys though &glad to have found him.

This forum has been a godsend to me as well. I'm proposing a new dictionary definition for Rheumatologist - it will simply say 'sceptic!

Great reply, Sarah 👍👍👍👍

And...my feeling is: you're being fairly kind...recalling the rheumatologists (& other types of consultant) I met over the years (before 2011 when I found my heroic brilliant head of lupus clinic) brings to mind the definition: Lazy patronising cowardly sadist

But, sometimes, in the real world, we do have to work with them...this is where the solidarity & info-sharing on this wonderful forum come in...giving us the confidence to do the best we can to make even an imperfect working relationship with a sceptical but good guy rheumatologist work constructively
