Sickness bug

Been up all night with a sickness bug which seems to have made my lupus joint/muscle symptoms flare as my legs and back are in agony! Anyone else had similar? Also had to reschedule a hospital appointment which is a pain because I could've really done with seeing my consultant

Not had to reschedule a consultation - that's so unlucky. But I have just got over a sick bug. I think it was a bug anyway but it seemed to go on for more days than I'm used to and knocked the stuffing out of me as well as causing my symptoms to flare up. I hope you cab reschedule your appointment for sometime very soon. Twitchy x

Hi, thanks! Thankfully I seem to be over the worst of it and the aches have subsided - think they were part of the bug as other family members had similar. Luckily I have been squeezed in at the end of Monday's clinic which is a relief because I return to uni not long after Christmas and I was worried I would have to go back having not seen him! 😊

That's good that it was just a bug and grear that you've got your rescheduled rheumy apt sooner. I don't know if mine was a sick bug or not but it wiped the floor with me too. Husband certainly hasn't had it yet if it was.

Hi im sorry to hear you have a sickness bug there does seem to be a lot going around, not sure if this is you but a couple of weeks ago I got a cold virus and I along with aches and pains and instantly thought I was having the start of a flare but personally I think it was just swollen glands in the body which can make you feel very achy because after a week I felt better and the aches subsided. Remember a virus can make healthy people achy.

Hi, thank you for your response! Yes I do think I jumped to that conclusion too quickly as when I walked to some other family members who also had the bug they said they had similar aches and pains. I'm feeling much better 😊
