Rash

I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease and it has been a challenge ! I am on humira and have been for 2 years . over last few months I've developed a horrible itchy rash.maily on back chest and scalp I've tried benadryl and nothing helps. Feels so much like an ivy itch but is not. .any information? Anyone else? ?

Just wondering whether your rash could be a side effect of humira?.

If you can take a photo of it as would be good to show your Rheumy. Are you due an appointment with him?.X

I developed this horrible rash a few years back before I was diagnosed with lupus. My doctor, the ER Doctor, & even the dermatologist were stumped. My chest, neck, & shoulders were so itchy. My chest looked like hamburger because I couldn't help but scratch it. I had topical ointment from ER Doctor & that worked. I would look into foods you eat, how much you're in the sun, your stress level, amount of sleep. All these problems can exacerbate lupus ' cause a flare.

Hi nice to meet you,im suffering same problem and do have undifferentiated connective tissue discease. Not on humira mine may turn.into full blown sle.

So because sytpoms if mine so much like lupus I'm not allowed to take sulphazine, humira,antinflammtories.

As in lupus patients who like me are photosensitive get rashes they are not advised.

Particularly humira is meant be used for rheumatoid arthritis, crhons.

I'm on hydroxycloriquine sulate,was on methotrexate.

Then azathioprine but stopped due to constant infections.

Hydroxycloriquine sulate is baseline drug for uctd.

Depending on other sytpoms what else take.

I was told by dermatology my back rash, scalp rash inflammation is seborrhoeic dermatitis.

I've been given same as you topical steriod cream for back,steriod lotion for scalp.

Ketocazole shampoo for seborrhoeic dermatitis scalp.

Double base cream for dry skin I wash rash areas with aqueous cream very helpful if use scents with agrevate.

My rashes get worse in flare from stress, heat,sun,hormone surge at time month.

I saw top dermatologist at St Thomases St John's dermatologist institute now located at guys aswell.

I have use sunsense factor 50.

Or my face neck go bright red even.under cloudy sky.

Have they not suggested taking a biopsy of rash?
