Does Plaquenil cause weight gain?

I have taken it for a year now and have not had any weight gain

I've never put on weight! Not even when on steroids!! I always look so under weight! I eat loads healthy and not so healthy! Some might think I'm lucky not having to worry bout my weight - but I feel as depressed as some one who can't loose weight! I guess now I'm well in my 40s I give up trying and stressing over it!

My rheumatoligist told me its not known to cause weight gain...I'm overweight and was hoping to blame plaquenil..no excuses now

No weight gain here either. Thyroid was the cause for me initially. Now at good weight for me and no changes due to meds.

I am overweight but i will like to blame the steriod not plaquinil. But even when i reduced the steriod i had no significant weight loose. I was size 12 but now am size 20. Takecare
