Advice on bloods
Would she have said neutrophils? A type of white blood cell... That's as technical as I get!
That might be what she said guess I'll findout in the morning
Still have no idea what it means will look it up
Thank you for reply
Prob neutrophils do not worry mine have been low for 14 years, yours most likely due to meds, they will keep a eye on it and if they get too low your aza might be halved for a week or two, in the meantime wash and cook all food properly, good hand hygiene try to avoid people with bugs, our blood count changes hour by hour it's amazing!! My neutrophil count has been as low as 0.89 before just as I was Dx with lupus should be 2-7 but since changing to aza it's my lympocetes that are low ( that's another white cell) keep well and dnt worry xx
I'm surprised that you weren't explained. I agree, it's the drug, which is intended to lower your immune system. I'd be interested to know what would be the long term implications? Any studies done?
I had this a few times where my white blood count was extremely low on azathioprine but they have put me on steroids to help balance it out! Good luck
