I Collected the two previous blood results today while having my monthly bloods taken and was told the ESR for June was 106 and July was 113 I have never had it this high ever would it be correct, is there any thing I should do? Have not felt so great lately.

Hi Gco

Maybe an earlier visit to your Rheumy Consultant would be good as your ESR is so high and you don't feel well?.Good luck.

I would make an appointment with the rheumy. ESR is one of the main inflammatory markers that doctors use and if it's that high there could something going on with your SLE. Did you have a CRP done at the same time (C-Reactive Protein)? It's just another inflammatory marker.

I have just looked back in my result book and as far as i can see they don't write it up, I have telephoned and left a message so hopefully someone will get back to me, thank you.
