Swollen legs / ankles - gone down since taking hydroxy - vasculitis?

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I was diagnosed with Subacute Cutaneous Lupus (SCLE) with most SLE symptoms but no internal organ involvement, in November last year and have been on 200mg of hydroxy twice a day ever since. The rheumy has also mentioned slight hypermobility and possible vasculitis (as well as aneamia, Vitamin B12 deficiency and Vit D awaiting more blood tests). I have had varicose veins since I was approx 16 years old and so have never been able to buy knee high boots from the high street shops as my calves were too big and bulgy. Anyway, on Saturday night I went out for a meal with some friends and put on some shoes with an ankle strap, I was surprised to see that I could tighten the strap 5 more holes in, than where I usually do them up. I haven't worn them since last summer. So it seems that my ankles have reduced in size, quite considerably. I know my left leg is usually very itchy as well and this is much better on the hydroxy too. Anyone else have vasculitis as well as Lupus or have a similar experience? I'm just curious.

Hey Wendy39, i have sle, vasculitis and small fibre peripheral neuropathy, in on a combination of drugs but i am always in constant pain

Anti phospholipid syndrome (fats in the blood) was on lots of medication...steroids, immunosuppressants, warfrin also had retuximab infusions. Had lots of flares over the years. Also take 120mls of pure alovera juice which helps with the side effects and also helped to reduce inflamation. Take care
