I have a pain in my upper right side of my chest ... - LUPUS UK
I have a pain in my upper right side of my chest above my breast, what can this be it pains when I take a deep breath.
Hi Thalisa
Have you had your pain checked by your GP or Rheumy?. Had a chest X-ray?. It could be your ribs or lots of other things. Lupus can affect that area a lot!. You certainly need advice and possibly help with pain relief. I hope it gets better soonX
I had exactly the same symptoms last week and it wad a chedt infection.
I get a similar thing on and off. My doc says it's chostochondritis (swelling of the costal muscles in your chest and the muscles around your sternum) but that may not be true for you. You need to talk to your doctor.
Lupus can cause inflammation in the lungs that cannot be seen on X ray, it can be treated with steroids. You need to be seen in the chest clinic and have a lung function test, if your doctor can't find a reason. Don't leave it, its a shame we have to keep pushing for treatment, but this needs fairly urgent attention.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
I'm having this now along with belching I don't have lupus or other mentioned illnesses just high cholesterol
