Can Gabapentin be taken with wafrin

I got told off today for not taking my pain killers gabapentin does anyone else take this on wafrin ? Does it affect ur levels don't know why I am worried about taking it be greatful if u would let me know

Yes.

Anything can affect INR on warfarin so if you have been prescribed gabapentin you need to take a regular daily dose.

If you start or stop any medication while on warfarin it can upset the INR. So you need to take any medications consistently and any time you stop or start them get your INR re-checked and tell the clinic.

Gabapentin can cause gastric irritation so if you have any history of ulcers it may be a problem. However I doubt you would be on warfarin if that was the case?

Thank u I been on wafrin 14 years now but keep getting more and more medication to take so was just bit worried about gabapentin

My haemotology nurses told me gabapentin does interact with warfarin, you might want to ask for pregablin instead (it's more expensive 'though?)
