Hi Katepscot,

Please take caution with any products that claim to be a ‘cure’ for lupus. There is currently no cure for lupus and many of these products are scams that prey on vulnerable people. Lupus is a varied condition and whilst the diet suggested might be helpful for one person, it could potentially be harmful for others. You should always check with your consultant before making any alterations to your treatment regimen or major changes to your diet.

Best wishes,

Hayley

I agree Hayley_Winter, although many suggest approaches out of good faith, we are all different and have had different experiences. We don't all react in the same way to a particular supplement, approach, treatment, even food, etc. Even if genuinely suggested, I doubt if it would work for all lupus patients. However, something might help with symptoms for some and there is no harm in reading and learning all the time, but we just have to be aware that scams are all around us and the ultimate intention of most is to make money, from my experience, but there are the genuine ones, too, who just want to help others having been helped themselves.

I would be very interested in reading. I take D3 everyday. I noticed the benefits. I have not had a bad bout of depression through the winter like I did my whole life. I didn't know it could help lupus though. Thanks for sharing

Hi Katepscot

These sort of books are there to fool us. Most certainly like others have said their isn't a cure at the moment but there is control. There are ways like medication, lifestyle changes, diet changes etc. where you can make a difference for the way lupus affects our everyday life but on the other hand there is no such cure, I would consult your gp or lupus specialist about any changes that you do make to yourself whether it be any of the changes listed above always be cautious

Stay Safe and Healthy

Stacey Beckers book is more a story of what happened to her...circumstances she think led up to her lupus. It also talks about how the doctors treated her etc...I think she might give some pointers.. I just read a few chapters on line...My daughter has ordered it for me as a gift, so I will let you know how it goes...
