I have a rash more on one side of my nose than on the other. It has got a lot less since going gluten free and 2 weeks later starting an 8 week course of plaquetin (can't remember how to spell it!)

Does your rash come and go or is permanent?

My rash is sometimes on one side, sometimes both. Sometimes chin and sometimes not. Sometimes when I'm really lucky it lights up the room it's so bright.

My rash come and goes as and when it feels like it. I can feel really ill and have no rash and feel fit as a fiddle and have a real heavy one. Or not!

I've given up trying to understand it. I certainly can't use it as a barometer that's for sure.

Sending spoons people.

My rash is on the left side of my face. It seems to get darker at certain times but is always there. My doctor tested the rash and has said it's lupus. Along with the rash I have joint pains and fatigue which my rheumatologist says is part of the lupus, along with dry mouth and eyes. My rheumatologist gives me blood tests every three months and it seems my white count is low 90% of the time. But through all this the rash is always there to remind me that I'm ill.

Interesting..like every other symptom...we all have our own "fingerprint" suppose. Mine is on right cheek & nose then sometimes forehead & small blotch left cheek. Going to Mayo in February as been miserable still no Dx in 4 years.

My cheeks burn and are bright red..no rash as such just a red burning especially when I'm one on one chatting to family...it tends to flare up then, leaves me drained

Hi Chris...can relate to burning I get inside mouth & on lips rarely cheeks but seems to be occurring more frequently. Curious does your burning occur on portions of cheeks where no rash?

Its on both cheeks Beezyb.... my mother thought I was looking very healthy....even as a child she described me as having " rosy red cheeks" but I often felt unwell. I wasnt diagnosed till 2005 but believe I've had immune problems on and off since childhood. Burning always on both cheeks, I've never had what they call the butterfly rash as far as I know
