Saying Hi

New here, thanks for the add, I have no real idea what is wrong with me, other than food makes me ill and Dr's have no interest in helping me other than more and more powerful drugs that makes things worse.

I manage the worst by not eating but know that isn't ideal

Hi Jay627,

I'm sorry to hear you are not getting the answers you want from your doctor. If you think it may help we have an information pack which i can send to you which contains some useful facts on lupus from recognising the symptoms to approaching diagnoses. If you would like one of these packs, just send me a private message with your address or if you'd prefer you can email me at hayley@lupusuk.org.uk and i will pop one in the post for you.

Best wishes,

Hayley

Thanks, I just have no idea what is wrong as my symptoms could be Lupus, Gastroparesis or as simple as an addiction to Caffeine and Sugar (I know I am). I know Protein makes me ill as does 99% of all food. I have been hospitalised many times since 1983 and now no longer bother as they never do anything.

Not had a proper meal since 2008 as not eating helps ease 99% of all symptoms

I will be interested in learning more from others.

Have you had the pancreas checked?

No idea, I never see the same doctor twice and am just bounced around different departments with everyone denying anything is wrong.... But this has been going on since 1983.

That's terrible. Are you in pain after you eat fat? Have you been loosing weight? If so, it might be something to do with the pancreas not functioning properly. The pain from an inflamed pancreas rarely responds to painkillers, even very strong ones. Just mention it next time you have an appointment. Did you have an abdo ct scan at all?

Thats so not right! Im very annoyed at these docs of yours! You need a second opinion, do you keep a diary of foods that affect you and how?

Not what you're looking for?
