Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been on for a while but just wanted to say I've had my appeal for DLA today but they are sending their decision by post. I thought the appeal itself went very well and my representative thought so too but I'm afraid that a decision by post means I've lost. Has anyone else had their appeal notice by post but won? xxxxxxxxx
dla decision by post.: Hi everyone. Sorry I've not... - LUPUS UK
dla decision by post.
My daughters appeal decision came by post and we won!
Hi, I went to an appeal to be placed in a support group as I'm too sick to work at the moment. They sent my decision in the post & I won, was placed in the support group for a year. I heard within about 4 days. Good luck & if you don't win I suggest taking it to a tribunal.
Thanks so much for your answers. my stomachs going over like a washing machine waiting for the envelope to arrive. It would make such a massive difference to me if I could get something. fingers crossed and I'll let you know how I get on. xx

Hi Lilyanne
I had my appeal last week and I got my letter 7 days after to tell me no I cannot have DLA as I do not fit the criteria.
At the appeal the judge told me that he believes that I suffer with my lupus but they have to talk to decide if they can apply the law to my case.
I suffer with SLE, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Arthritis and they all agreed that they believed I was telling the truth, however the law says we don't suffer enough to receive their money!!
Good luck with yours.
