Does anyone suffer from lots of wind and heart burn is this connected to lupus

I have been diagnosed with lupus and aps for 11years in the last couple of years I have had gastric problems along with usual lupus and aps symtoms are they connected

i have asked the same question many a time , i was diagnoised with ibs 12 years before lupus different drs say different things , i know tramadol effects my stomach and methotrexate , google ur tablets and there side effects if no joy speak to your dr hope that helps

It depends what drugs you're taking and whether they're known irritants but, IME, SLE alone is quite capable of inflaming one's entire digestive system. Not of causing acid reflux/heartburn though.

I get dreadful wind (you wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with me lol!) and intermittent diarrhoea - it doesn't seem to be connected with what I eat or drink. It does however seem to be associated to when some of my other lupus symptoms are active - so spotty red face, dry skin, dry eyes, stiff joints, sore tongue. So I think its the lupus (for me anyway)

Your drugs could cause it too, check on the list of side effects.

Thanks to you all for your replies even when I forget to take my meds I still suffer from upset stomach I'm seeing rheumy next month will ask and see what he says

I take plaquinil and synthroid....but I also heard if your around menopause age or after menopause you can get windy...its hormones or lack of. I never had gas/windy when I was pregnant at all...again more hormones then.

My stomach bothers me..very bloated.
