After being told by my consultant to have jab I had great difficulty explaining to the gp receptionist why a lupus sufferer needs the jab! Kept on being told lupus was not on her list and could have it if I paid for it!

evening I too have had the same battle for two years, I finally got a yes when I told my gp that the poster in the waiting room says supressed immunity can have it. and also remembered a blog someone had written and paul had offered to send their surgery info to help.....finally got my jab date next month please keep fighting for it or ask paul for help,hes lovely x
My daughter has lupus and was advised to get the flu jab. Our GP was only too pleased to give her the injection. Her rheumy also suggested she have the pneumonia jab as she works with children which she has now had.

I have been diagnosed for a few years now and never had any problems getting my flu jab, got it two weeks ago. I did have itchy, hot skin round where I got it but its away now and feel fine.
