I had a hospital appointment at st Thomas's with dr d Cruz and everything is apparently going really well to the point where im weaning of my 5mg of steroids and going down 1mg every month. Im just abit puzzled on the fact he said all my lupus blood tests are coming back negative now what does he mean by that.

Rhuemy Appointment!
Hi, I'm in same position at the moment. My doctor describes it as the lupus is sleeping as there is no lupus activity showing in my bloods and they class this as being in remission. I'm tapering down the steroids by 1mg every two months but have to stay on the cellcept, hydroxy etc. I'm monitored at the renal clinic every six to eight weeks where bloods are checked for any change.
Hope things continue to stay settled for you.

Hi, pleased to hear you're doing well at the moment. I'm actually writing to ask how you got the "keep calm blame lupus" logo thing-love it!
Stay well x
Hello thanks and yeah the logo is just from Google I typed in lupus posters and that's what came there are others as well keep calm ones relating to lupus
hi metoyou, have I got my wires crossed are you the lady in west Yorkshire? xx
Metoyou, how lucky you are to be having bloods that show you are in remission I am sure I am not alone when I say that is some thing that I hope I will be told when I have my bloods done. I have blood taken each week and hope that one day my symptoms subside and the blood results will show I am in remission. I have been in an agresive active flare for nearly three years now and an hoping that since taking methotrexate for six months and having possitive results once folic acid was added to the equation I might get some bloods that read like yours. I am so pleased for you and hope that it lasts for a nice long time.
Good luck to you
