Hi guys just an update on my rhuemy visit I requested. He was very thorough and really listened to me.He checked out the little sores I have near wrists and ankles and neck,he mentioned he would keep an eye on vasculitis as these are not widespread.He gave me a list of bloods to have taken at my surgery and the results sent to him.He was also very interested about the oral thrush  and said when I think it's back it needs to be treated straight away.Plaqeunil is gone from 200mg to 400mg.Can I ask how best to take 2 tabs a day? Dryness is pretty severe so hoping new dosage makes some difference. Thanks for reading.Circles xxx

Good news...thanks....how are you feeling about this circles?  

I've been advised to take 400mg hydroxy in 2 evenly spaced doses with food....which has always worked well for me...I've been on 400mg per day for 5 years now, with no probs.  But am sorry to say that in my case hydroxy hasn't improved my sjogrens dryness, which is multisystem and severe, although currently sero neg

Thanks so much for you're reply.I feel OK with this as a few things have not improved on 200mg.I think the rhuemy is thinking maybe SLE now rather than Lupus syndrome anyway he wrote SLE ? on the the list of bloods.We will see if anything comes back in the bloods.Thanks for the advice on the plaquenil I hope it helps.It did make a big difference with the dryness when I started it last year.Hope you are feeling OK yourself. Thank you I feel he takes all this seriously and listens.He is private so I am sticking with him for the foreseeable future.He is a consultant rhuematoligist in a private hospital so I see him in his private rooms.Thanks again for your help.Circles xxx
