I feel it important to share the good news, mums appointment went really well. Keytruda has worked and the tumour has had significant reduction in size. So much so the doctor is recommending that she goes to infusions every 6 weeks but at a double dose. We’re thrilled. It’s the first positive outcome since we started on this journey. We were expecting the worse as she was coughing blood up last week, but the doctor says that can happen when tumours break up.
All the best to you all!

We’re finally getting mum out of the house and surrounding her with all her grandkids for a day out. She’s not seen them for a while. So nice to see her relax a little!
That is great news! 😊 So pleased for your Mum, you and the rest of your family. I have been on Keytruda for two years and it has kept my disease stable. Have also just moved from infusions every 3 weeks to a double dose every 6. Hope your Mum continues to do well.
Thanks so much for your kind words. This is a horrible journey and so I feel like we really need to celebrate the wins! 6 week infusions is such an expected but very welcomed bonus, it means we can get on with life. I wish you well! X
So wonderful. I’m so pleased for you. And also slightly selfishly pleased because my mum is also on pembrolizumab as well as chemo and has had a horrible time so far (only one cycle as yet) - also had low PDL-1. It’s so encouraging to hear that it’s worked for your mum. I’m very happy!
Absolutely, this is so nice to read! These new drugs offer us so much hope and I’m so pleased you can look to us for hope as I’ve looked to others in the past, especially when the first treatment wasn’t working. All the best to you and your mum. X
Just wanted to say my pdl1 was less than 10%. But I got good results. I had 2 years on pembro which shrunk the tumours initially and I became stable after a few rounds. Finished pembro a year ago and I’m still stable.x
That’s fantastic. I’m so pleased for you. Scan results today to see if the triplet therapy cycle one has had any effect on the rumour for my mum. Fingers crossed.
This means someday you'll tell us it as gone . So have hope. Don't give up keep fighting. You can do it. We'll be here to cheer you on..Love susiejo 1948.
