Good news

Just got a call from lung nurse that I’m cancer free! No further treatment required after the Lobectomy. I’m still recovering but this makes end seem so much closer. This was another primary- 3rd one in 10 months. I’ve now conquered skin cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer!! Follow ups obviously but I can deal with that. There’s hope out there folks- just keep up the positivity.

Excellent news - what a warrior. I had a lobectomy in Dec 2010 and diagnosed in Jan 2011 and also didn't require further treatment - only regular 'vigilance/active surveillance'. You've had more than your fair share and I guess the key will be each discipline joining up their results/experiences with their counterparts dealing with the other types so nothing is missed. Totally agree about there being hope - so much more being studied, researched and trialled and people like you. Hope you're planning a celebration of some sort - however small, I think it's always important to mark the positive experiences in a way to remind ourselves that it doesn't all have to be negative. good luck.
