Hi, I was diagnosed last April (stage 2b nsclc bumped up to stage 3a as tumour grew a little) and started treatment in the June...chemoradiotherapy. I only managed 1 cycle of chemo before spending 13 days in hosp with severe neutropenia...no more chemo but completed my 30 radiotherapy sessions last august. I lost so much weight i ended up spending another week in hospital having a feeding tube which i had for 6 weeks, february this year blue lighted to hosp with severe pneumonia another week in icu, however scan in june gave me the best news as oncologist said i have no active disease. I'm presuming this is good news just want people to know the treatments can and do work

I am sure it will be reassuring for people to hear that despite some very difficult and frightening times you have come through the other side and are back to living your life. I am sure those who are newly diagnosed or are currently undergoing treatment will take a lot of comfort from your psitive post , thank you for sharing . Best wishes .
sounds as if you've been through the mill - and hope you're feeling stronger now - mentally and physically. Sadly infections can still happen after a cancer diagnosis as you've experienced but the news from the scan is great to know. It sounds good news to me that there is no active disease so hope you've able to celebrate in some way. onwards and upwards.
fantastic news and stay well. It’s really good to hear how well you’re doing
