my partners only 8 weeks post op after lobectomy and 4 ribs removed.. 3A NSCC due to start chemo soon and has taken unwell.

He’s now in hospital had a ct scan to show another lump to middle lobe.. same thing it looks like an abscess but that’s how the first presented. I’m so scared right now just when we were getting back on track!

So sorry to hear of this set back. We missed him on Tuesday evening and hoped all was well.

Good that the investigation has begun to find out what is happening. Worrying for you both but let’s hope for a good outcome. Will be thinking of you both and send good wishes. B.

lovely to hear from you! I will let Sam know that you’re thinking of him.. unfortunately we’ve missed the oncology meeting again lol but on the bright side the pain specialist is involved so hopefully he’ll be feeling more comfortable.

Hoping to get him home and get IV antibiotics in the community so might be able to do zoom next week thanks

Hi both. It was great to see Sam online last Wed, but sorry to hear that he is having to deal with new challenges. I hope that the way forward is now becoming clearer. Thinking of you both and sending good wishes. B

Dear Clareoh

I believe we have been in contact about your query, however, please do not hesitate to get in contact if you would like to discuss anything further, you can email ask the nurse at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our free phone nurse led helpline on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600.

I hope you have some answers soon and it is understandably a very difficult and distressing time for you both. As you know, NSCLC is the slower growing cancer, so hopefully it is an abscess that can be treated.

Kind regards

Sorry to read of your partner's latest experience - lung cancer is often described as a roller coaster ride - and sometimes it feels as if it's one step forwards and several back..... hope they find the answers soon and he can pick up his treatment again.

Thinking of you both at what is clearly a stressful time.
