Positivity through cancer

Dear Toptoffee
Welcome to the forum and so sorry to hear of how you are feeling. It is encouraging that your cancer was treatable but just having cancer can take a toll on you emotionally. This is not uncommon and even though it does pass, whilst you are in it, having support will really help you get through this. You will find support and encouragement from the forum.
We offer online support groups through zoom:
Living with Lung Cancer (Fortnightly group that is ongoing. Wednesday 2-3pm): This group is for anyone with a lung cancer diagnosis and who is looking for support and connection with others.
Body Breathing (14th November 2-3pm): Anyone who would like to learn helpful breathing and movement techniques.
Carers Support (Fortnightly group that is ongoing Fri 10am): A group for those caring for a person with lung cancer.
Managing Treatment (Monday evenings 7-8pm): Covering advice on all treatment at any cancer stage
You can register for the group support or one to one phone support through this link:roycastle.org/help-and-supp... or you can email our support coordinator Ellen Knapp at ellen.knapp@roycastle.org
You may find this NHS link useful to source helplines that specialise in mental well being: nhs.uk/nhs-services/mental-... or you could talk to your GP.
Cancer care map provides a list local support services and you can look up your area through this link: cancercaremap.org/
I hope you hear from others in the forum and if you would like to discuss anything you can call our ask the nurse helpline number on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600, or you can email us at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org
Kind regards
