Well, further to the Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy combo not working any longer after 20 months, had a meeting with the oncologist today and the tests on my cells have shown no targetable mutations. Upshot is that the alternative now is chemotherapy with Docetaxel and Nintedamib. The side effects look very severe to me!! I'm swinging between just not having any further treatment and taking things as they come and enjoying life and having the treatment. I'd be very grateful for anyone's experience of this combo and the effects it had on their life. Many thanks. Mags

Not the best news I've had
Hi Mags
Sorry to hear the treatment has stopped working. Hope you hear from others who have been through this treatment.
Although everyone reacts and responds differently to treatments, you may wish to consider giving it a go and wait and see. It is a very personal decision and you will know yourself what is best for you and weighing up the balance of quality of life versus extension of life.
If you would like to discuss anything you can email ask the nurse at lungcancerhelp@roycastle.org or call our free phone nurse led helpline number on 0800 358 7200 Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1600
All the very best in whatever you decide.

I would say give it a go. Youve gone this far but that's easy for me to say. Im going through my own battles with treatment so can understand where your at as I had a really bad chest infection in June 2021 and as I have Copd could have done without further scaring to my lungs/Good luck with whatever you decide
