Sadly my mum passed away last Saturday. She got a chest infection and the antibiotics weren't working any more. The local hospice were amazing at pain control. She slept for the last week, opening her eyes occasionally. She slipped away very peacefully and is now with the Angels. I have been sad, furious, tired, blank and devastated. After seeing her ill for so long, it's a relief she is no longer suffering. I am sorry that this may be hard for some of you to read because of your diagnosis or the diagnosis of your loved ones. I feel it is important to share with you all XXX

Sorry to hear of your loss, I also lost my dad 4 weeks ago to lung cancer. He was only diagnosed in May so has been very quick but he was really struggling. I also felt so many different emotions. For the first couple of weeks i was just numb, I have times where it will suddenly hit me and think I will never stop crying and then moments when I almost feel relieved that he is no longer suffering and that it didn't go on too long. I also lost my mum in January, it is very hard but just take one day at a time and make sure you take some time out for yourself.
Thinking of you x
