I amno expert but I would say yes to the flu jab.

I have the flu jab,I can remember years ago the old people calling flu natures nurse as it used to take the weak.Now that I am weak I will take anything to help me keep going.

I am about to start c hemo next week, and my oncologist said I should have the flu vacc before I started, so I have had mine.

Thanks for your replies, I really appreciate it. I had a bad response to a typhoid and cholera vaccination 25 years ago and have avoided vaccinations ever since. I need to now get over this hurdle. It sounds strange to people who know me that I am reacting like this as in relation to the lung cancer diagnosis I have said yes to very thing without a worry.

Before leaving for for a holiday in Crete, I asked my nominated care Doctor whether I should have one - her response was to wait until we returned and decide then. I have been entitled to one for 4 years and still haven't bothered with one so far with no ill effects.
