Any experience of Docetaxol.

Couldn't undergo round 5 of Carbo/Pemetrexed today as platelets slightly low (84) but not low enough to have blood transfusion, so it was decided to leave it for a week. Once I have completed round six I will have another CT scan, don't know whether it's with contrast or not and to be honest I don't really understand what that means. I was originally told that my next line of treatment would be Alimta maintenance but apparently the new NICE guidelines does not allow this treatment unless you have previously undergone Cisplatin/Alimta, I had Cisplatin/Navorabine. Oncologist will probably want to try Taxoteve (Docetaxol) and I just wondered if anyone has experience of this treatment and if so what side effects can I expect. Big hugs to you all Moni x
