Mom just diagnosed Stage IV
My mother (74) was recently diagnosed with Stage IV NSCLC and begins chemo (Carboplatin +
Alimta
) on 12/28. She is a non-smoker and the news, information, treatment - all of it!- is overwhelming.

OC that has spread to the pleura
I am scheduled to start
Alimta
, but before I do, I'm exhausting surgical options as chemo doesn't work on me so well these days.

Lung cancer stage 4 and treatment
I am on
Alimta
, Carboplatin and Keytruda. I will get my first ct scan to see if it's working on September 30th. If you know who this person is, maybe you can tell them to contact me. Or if anyone else is interested in talking, please let me know. Good luck to you all and thank you. Sandy B.

He will be on carboplatin,
Alimta
, and keytruda. How has keytruda worked for you? I wasn’t able to take it and just would like to hear from others with experience with this.

Why CT scan not pet scan?
As you may know, I finished 4 rounds of Cisplatin
Alimta
three weeks ago, following on from a lobectomy in March. Tomorrow I have a CT scan and am wondering why they do that at this stage rather than a pet scan. Can anyone explain please? Best wishes to all and kind regards xxx

KRAS experience?
I just started on carboplatin,
Alimta
and Keytruda. I have a KRAS variant but no other biomarkers. I'm 69 and in excellent health other than the cancer and being overweight. Drs. keep remarking on how healthy my lungs sound 🤪.

Last Cisplatin Alimta postponed
Good evening good people, just a quick question please. I was due my last round of chemo tomorrow and due to low white blood count in Friday's blood test it has been postponed til the following week all being well. If normally they administer every three weeks, does it mean it's less effective if they

Been wanting to write this for awhile
In March or April 2019 I started: Immunotherapy - Keytruda Chemo - Pemetrexed -
Alimta
Chemo - Carboplatin - Paraplatin The brain tumors were shrinking and my lymph nodes but due to my being so neauseated and dizzy they wanted to keep me on Immunotherapy only so my quality of life would get better,

Maintenance treatment
His meds are now Keytruda, Zometa,
Alimta
and Altuzan. I am wondering for how long he should continue Zometa and
Alimta
? I want him to rest a little bit from chemo and continue Keytruda only. Based on what doctors decide when to stop the chemo? What is recommended in this situation?

Chemotherapy side effects
I'm due for my second perfusion of Cisplatin and
Alimta
(for stage IIa Non-small) this coming Monday. I suppose I will be able to discuss this with the nurses but it's hard to know who to talk to as everyone is in such a rush all the time.

NSCLC operated in March, starting chemotherapy on Monday
I'm about to start chemotherapy this Monday using Cisplatin and
Alimta
. I had a 5 cm adenocarcinoma removed from my lung during an upper right lobectomy this March and have recovered well physically. My tumour was discovered 31/01/2019. It is apparently stage 2a and has not spread detectably.

Alimta
I guess his good fortune caught up. It is so scary seeing him on a vent. I'm pretty scared at the fear he will have when they stop sedation and make him breathe for 2 hours on the trial.

Cancer maintenance treatment
For now, doctors said to continue with Keytruda, Zometa,
Alimta
and they added Bevacizumab. Wanted to see if anyone has been on this treatment and what was the outcome.

No side effects?
He got carboplatin,
alimta
, and keytruda. The thing is that I don't know what amounts of these drugs were given. He's not having any side effects so far and that got me to thinking that perhaps they gave him a small amount.
