Preoperative for surgery

Today I had my pe op with therapist and doctor who will preform the SAPL surgery on my leg later this month. Everything looks good for a green light to proceed. Surgery is on 23rd of this month. My leg feels so heavy and by 4pm I am usually exhausted from lugging this weight around. While I am apprehensive on one hand, on the other I am looking forward to getting this gunk out of my leg. Doctor said looking at my leg it appears we will get out about the amount of 2 two liter bottles of Pepsi. Thats alot to lug around every day. Praying the recovery will be quick and fairly painless. Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted.

Thank you

Hi,

I wish you all the very best.

Who is doing the surgery and where please ?

I am guessing you will have to wear hose 24/7 afterwards forever unless you are having a second procedure.

I will be having the surgery done by Dr. Granzow near Manhattan beach. Yeah the stocking will be 23/7. Have not decided if I will do the second surgery. I will keep everyone posted.

Thanks for prompt reply.

I have been hoping for funding for the procedure for 4 years so please forgive my curiosity.

I should have worked out you weren't in the UK.

Do please keep us posted.

April let it is a ridiculously expensive surgery and itsee evenore ridiculous that insurance does not pay for it. Nor do they pay for the custom stocking required. I hope you find the funding you need. Thanks for the good wishes.

Sapl surgery is tomorrow morning. Can't believe it is here already. Strangely enough my anxiety has lessened somewhat. Meet with PT later this afternoon. Countdown is on.
