Recently i’ve been trying to hold myself together during quarantine.. i’ve noticed resurfacing bad habits like sleeping for over 14 hours or not eating or over eating. i’m not sure how to talk to anyone about it. I’m slowly loosing my motivation for school work and family hasn’t been the greatest help. i’m doing my best to keep myself together but i feel like i’m slowly falling apart and i’m afraid of hitting rock bottom . i started trying to learn my most frequent triggers and learning how to prevent them .

Everyone is finding this so hard at the moment

I sense you are young as you mentioned School work but let me reassure you if you are young , middle aged or whatever there are so many of us struggling and falling into bad habits

Do not give yourself a tough time because you have fallen back into these habits but feel proud that you have noticed and wan't to do something

Maybe set your alarm every day to get up , set a little plan every day what you want or would like to achieve and see how many you manage , even if it is just one that would be fantastic :-)

If you cannot talk to your parents is there friends or family members you could talk to , there are so many helplines available for you to contact if needed , I am not sure where you are I am in the UK but if you put in Google contacts should come up

You have no need to feel so alone and you are not , be kind to yourself , give yourself some slack at the moment and know that you are not alone :-)

Hi you're definitely not alone! A lot of us are leaning on old crutches - snacking, sleeping in, drinking, binge watching TV or whatever.

It sounds like you know you are falling into habits you don't want , and want to do something about it. That puts you way ahead of many people!

I recommend tiny, easy goals for a few days to build up a sense of success. Really easy: Have shower. Eat 1 piece of fruit. Meditate with an app for 3 minutes.

Same again tomorrow. 3 minutes of meditation, tick it off the list.

Make it so easy you can't fail. get into a little routine.

Schoolwork is a tough area. I work at a college and we don't know when students will come back or what kind of teaching there will be or anything, but we do know that we want to make up for any lost teaching and make sure that no student gets left behind. It's the schools and colleges' job to help students catch up when things return, it is not on the students, especially younger students (I mean under 18).

You're not alone in struggling as a lot of us are. .
