So last night I had a panic attack - or so I think. I haven't had this feeling in years, and before that, about a decade. I usually live with anxiety every day but haven't had panic attacks in a while.
I suddenly woke up and felt really dizzy like the room was spinning and things were moving. My heart was racing and I felt like I had to vomit and go #2 at the same time. I sat on my bed squeezing a stuffed animal and counting my breathing until it finally went away after 10 min or so. It was so terrifying.
Is this normally what your panic attacks are like? It was just so weird because it wokeme up in the middle of the night when nothing in particular was even happening.
I honestly can't say that I'm familliar with the concept of panic attacks. I do know that we don't always remember dreams nor nightmares that we have. When you stated that you woke up from a panic attack, I wonder if you actually woke up "within" a panic attack enduced by a nightmare.
Hi @Pumpkin14, how are you?....hope today is going well for you. It's hard to define a panic attack as it can vary from person to person but what you describe sounded like something had caused a trigger that caused your body to react the way it did. Have you considered seeing a therapist for help and guidance. Sending you much peace and strength.
