When we first get anxiety it is so frightening , all of a sudden the person we were seems to have changed into a wreck and the more we fight it the longer it goes on
It sounds strange when I say accepting how we feel and going with it rather than fighting against it actually does help
When we fight it our minds then are convinced this is something to fear , which in return feeds the anxiety , when we accept how we feel and that it is anxiety then our minds have nothing to fear so in return it cannot keep feeding the anxiety ( easier said than done but does work with lot's and lot's of practice )
I wonder if some kind of therapy , counselling something like that would help you ? If you are in the UK that is something your Doctor could refer you for
Medication does help so many people but with the right support getting to the root of the problem and changing the way we think and reason with how we feel can really benefit us
We all know how you feel , we are all going through this in one way or another so you are not alone which in a small way I hope helps to know that , be patient with yourself , this is an illness , even though some may not think so but every part of the body can get ill and that includes the mind to , so be kind to yourself and care for yourself just like if you were ill in any other way
Come and chat when you need to knowing that we are all here ready to listen and we do understand
Hopefully it will , be honest with them , tell them everything , they will have heard it all before and more and there is no point leaving anything out or they will not know what they are dealing with
