I can absolutely empathise with you. I have awful health anxiety and also suffer from a tight chest and upper back ache because I'm so tense. I've been to A&E twice and been poked, prodded and had a full spectrum of tests and reassurances from 3 or 4 different doctors that my problems are just anxiety - and I still can't bring myself to accept it!

I know rationally that it's anxiety, but at the same time I can't bring myself to fully believe it. I even have little arguments with myself. It's like having two brains constantly fighting each other!

So, you're not alone (:

Hang on in there and remember that the hard times always ease off eventually.

Thankyou :-) felt heart racing too and been having a dull pain like underneath my left boob so obviously I think it's something awful I don't actually know what's set me off again as was fine for a good few weeks xx

Yeah, it's annoying how it comes and goes seemingly randomly. The anxiety just flies in and flattens you every now and again. I don't know what tablets you're taking, but I take citalopram and I find I still get ups and downs despite them taking the edge off between meltdowns.

Hopefully this blip won't last too long for you, just keep reminding yourself that your fears are just your anxiety's way of butting in and making a nuisance of itself. (;

Mm, bed time can be a tough one - it's hard not to lie there and focus on every little sensation isn't it? I've gone to bed with an ache under my boob before and spent ages poking about trying to feel around my muscles to pinpoint where the pain is coming from - only to make it more sore and get myself in a worse state than I started!

I'd recommend listening to some of the music on calm.com, or something similarly soothing. It's soft enough to be on in the background, but you can tune in and focus on it when you start feeling edgy. I just lay my phone next to me playing away while I drift off.

Hope you manage to get a decent night's kip (: xx

I feel you. It is hard, and frustrating. Just keep reminding yourself that it's totally normal to have aches and pains now and again, your anxiety just amplifies everything out of proportion.

You'll be okay - and you'll feel a lot better after some sleep too (:
