Does anyone have any tips for getting through the day at work when anxiety is at an all time high? I’m a teacher & you would think I would be so busy these thoughts wouldn’t creep in ... but the do constantly!
I’m currently taking 10 mg Lexapro with .5 Ativan as needed as I wait for some stressful medical test results- I know this situation is made worse by my fear of medical situation but maybe someone can help ? A prayer or a mantra that you’ve found helpful? Thank you so much!

I gave a lot of this up when I fell pregnant and have turned to more natural things. What are you open to? I use essential oils and full body stretching sessions everyday now
I am actually trying some oils - my daughter is a fan . Do you have any you find give anxiety/ stress relief? As I mentioned I’m in a high state of stress due to some medical testing and anxiety of waiting for results
Hey sweetie! What is your therapist saying? Honestly, I could not do life without the help of a therapist. I'm a hot mess express and truly need someone to help me work through the source of the anxiety. Until I got down to the source I was just band-aiding the problem. Yes, I was on multiple meds and such a mess. It was the therapy that got me to a place of healing to the point that I no longer need the meds! I'm on the other side now....still a mess but a self-sufficient (with God's help) mess. I can work through and figure out the sources of my anxiety now instead of letting them rule me. Praying for you!
Thank you for your prayers - I too ask daily for God’s help. I do have a therapist that I have a good relationship with - I’m just not sure how much I’m getting out of it ? I’m striving to identify my anxiety and what triggers it & long for the day I can work through it - take care & I really appreciate your reply. I feel like my husband is getting tired of being my sounding board & I don’t want to worry my daughters ❤️
I truly think you are on the right path. Keep showing up and don't forget to be open with your husband about your concerns that you are monopolizing him. (Hint: Guarantee you are not!) You are valuable and important to many people. How old are your girls? I know you are afraid to burden them but some honesty is good because they have likely caught on that you are struggling. Be honest about what you are struggling with (at their age level) and that you are working through it and getting help. Many prayers for you and yours!
My gals are adults 26 & 32 and I’ve always been open with them about my anxiety struggles - they both have had bouts of anxiety and we often talk about the best way to handle issues . I’m blessed to have them all I think it’s just with the holidays & some recent health issues I don’t want to feel like a burden !
