Hi there! Agoraphobic here! Anyone else?

Hiiiiiii, I’m Azazel and ever since I moved to Texas on New Years I’ve developed a teensy bit of agoraphobia. It’s not to the point where I can’t leave the house, but if I’m out too long or am around people in general I feel weak in the knees and sick to my stomach. It’s not every time I leave the house though. One of my favorite things to do is go hiking with my husband. It’s a super secluded trail and almost no people go there... it’s paradise to me. Anyway, leaving my fortress of solitude scares the hell out of me, and I wanna know if there’s anyone else too scared to get the mail, take out the trash, or walk to the store alone.

New places can be challenging for sure specially if you left behind a good support system !

I am not sure if you had any issues before moving to Texas but it would be wise to go see a therapist to talk about it .

I have moved states and countries before so I know how hard it is to start over.

I also recommend therapy. It’ll help. I was in Austin recently and had a good time! You don’t want your phobia to stop you from living your life- you deserve to enjoy life! Best of luck!
