living with anxiety can get me down often when I can't do things I feel I can do. Such as getting out of bed. I feel my anxiety over the past few moths has been causing my sleep to be awful so I never wake up feeling well rested and often need to nap during the day which is so not me. I have tried lots, not eating for a while before i sleep, meditation, mindfulness. Other than that, my anxiety is currently under control. Any advice?

Sleep and Anxiety
Hello bonnieblue1
So sorry you have had no replies but I will do my best
The way I read your post and correct me if I have got it wrong but your anxiety is under control except you are feeling tired and as if you have not had a good nights sleep as well as taking naps during the day
As well as anxiety , depression can creep in sometimes which can make us feel tired , do you think you could be possibly depressed ?
I would possibly go and see my Doctor and ask for routine blood tests such as iron as well as vitamin D been tested
Sometimes they look at you gone out when you ask for your vitamin D levels to be checked but so many with anxiety have low levels and this can contribute to feeling tired , so that is where I would start
Let us know how you get on
Take Care x
I have struggled with depression over time but never realised it could manifest like that. I can sleep up to 8 hours a night but still don't feel it is enough. Thank you for your helpful tips. Doc appointment at some point in the near future.
thanks
xx
Hello
I would go and get an appointment as both depression or low iron or vitamin D can make you feel exactly how you are feeling and letting them check that out could possibly get you the answer and if it were your iron or vitamin D they can soon get that back up which would give you more energy
Make that appointment as soon as you can it is better than feeling drained and tired all the time x
I am so sorry you are going through this. Anxiety is such a difficult thing to deal with. Have you talked to anyone (like a close friend or family member) about what you are going through? It always helps me when I vent my feelings to someone I trust. Also, another thing that helps with my anxiety is exercising. I hope everything gets better!
