Last Sunday I had a migraine aura that triggered an intense panic attack that sent me to the ER. My bp at one point was 140 and my hr was 150bpm. I had blood/urine tested ,ecg, and a CT scan. I was dehydrated and had low potassium and blood sugar and they let me leave that night. Ever since I have been terrified and panicked. I have been lightheaded everyday (which is getting better), earlier in the week my legs were weak and shaky, I wake up with sweaty palms and feet, I feel tingling in my body, and have no appetite most of the time. The tests found nothing wrong but I still worry that I'll keel over any minute! Everyone is telling me it's my panic attacks, with the evidence I know I should believe them but I'm afraid. Help!

Hello Lizanimal
I suffer with aura migraines on a regular basis not nice and if you are not used to them very frightening and when we have had a shock it sets our anxiety into overdrive
Been dehydrated can be one of the main causes for a migraine coming on so make sure you have plenty of water during the day , they say up to 6 to 8 glasses we should have
Maybe you could go and see your own Doctor and mention the low potassium and sugar level , ask them to re check them and see if you need to be doing anything or taking anything if the readings are still low but there is every chance they possibly will be back to normal to so try not to worry as worrying will make your anxiety worse and how you feel which I know is easier said than done but bear in mind there is nothing life threatening or they would have never sent you home
Take Care x
Thank you for your advice! I'm going to contact my Doctor tomorrow with my concerns!
Hopefully that will help put your mind at rest
Let us know how you get on but try and take a little reassurance for the Hospital to send you home would mean they had found nothing sinister but your Doctor can clarify all that with you which I hope will help you to be able to let go a little x
