Hello my Covid/ICU family (not the nicest family name to have eh?) So, I’m 10 months on from being admitted into ICU and for the 2nd time since my discharge and my original diagnosis of both covid and pneumonia, I have pneumonia again! As before, it progressed from a cold and cough to this! I’m on strong antibiotics and not feeling great! Has anyone else suffered repetition of pneumonia? Is it just me? ☹️

Repetitive pneumonia
I was in last year with pneumonia but had pneumonia jab at doctors a few months after coming out. Have you had one? X
It does seem really unlucky to have again so soon, as you would think you would have built up some immunity. This week my gp has given me a pnuemonia vaccine. I had covid pnuemonia last year and was in ICU with the works....
Thank you! I am definitely going to ask about this vaccine!
Yes, with your history you must qualify for the vaccine. My understanding is you either have to be over 65 or have a history. It is a one off injection.
I’m 55 but had pneumonia with covid in December, pneumonia again end of March as my lungs are scarred and weak and pneumonia now! I’m definitely going to ask as I can’t and don’t want to suffer this repetitively 🥴
