So its been 17 days since mom went into Septic Shock. She fought off the infection but her liver/kidneys are not ok, specially her liver that is not recovering due to tumor. Shes on so many meds (low bp, blood clots, liver enzymes, etc) and still on a ventilator. She has been off sedation since 16th and her eyes are open but shes not reacting to the tube down her throat. Doctor called us today about hospice and in order to do that we need to take her off vent. We opted not to do that so they are looking into doing a tracheostomy. They also said no doc would probably perform it because mom is high risk

Praying for a miracle so mom comes home.

I'm really sorry to hear that about your mum, she's been through so much. I know that they wouldn't perform a tracheostomy on my husband until he was stable enough as it is too dangerous. You are in such a catch 22 situation at the moment, I feel so so sorry for you all. sending my best wishes to you all. xx

Read my story my mom is going through something similar. Keep the faith and hope and pray. Don't let anyone tell you to take your mom off anything that's helping her right now. Is your mom Covid Positive?

Not covid positive.. but her organs got effected because of septic shock.. her liver has cancer so thats not recovering
