Im sorry to hear about your husband, did he have the aneurysm repaired? You need to remember that him only being 33 is an advantage as the younger the person is the better the chances of recovery. Please talk to his nursing staff about anything worrying you, it is part of their job to support you too.
I'm so sorry to hear this Jennifer. I can only imagine how worried you are.
So speak to his ITU staff and remember, at 33 they will throw everything at him to help him recover. They will not give up.
My friend had a stroke aged 33 3 years ago and she is now fully recovered. My Dad has his first stroke aged 39 (he didn't have another until his 60s). Hospitals are now much more used to seeing younger people with aneurysms, and they are very skilled.
Please keep in touch

Even though 12 days feels a very long time to you right now - its not in the grand scheme of things - my dad was on a ventilator for 4 weeks and then had a trache for a further 4 weeks. My dad had a leaking aortic aneurysm too along with pneumonia and sepsis. His body will be healing while he is ventilated. You don't say if there are any other complications but he will be recovering while he is sleeping. Stay strong and fingers crossed for you xxx
