I've had a couple of coffee mornings with a local ICUsteps group, also attended a coffee morning held by the critical care outreach team at my local hospital. The hospital hold a meeting for ex patients about every 3 months
Coffee (or tea!) and biscuits. No specific agenda as such, but an opportunity to talk with others who have been through similar experiences. Also an opportunity to chat with healthcare professional some of whom may have looked after you? It is also an opportunity for them to see you too.
i used to visit my ICU very frequently - weirdly, loved it - it was a safe place for me - I wouldnt go for a tea at any of the other wards !!! I dont know if there is anything ' normal' about ICU :}
