I struggle with low D levels usually in 20 range never can seem to get it past 30 , I've been on prescripyion D and D3 at the same time , Taking 5,000 mg a day nothing seems to get the levels up

Was wondering if anybody else suffers from low D levels ,i've read where alot of autoimmune diseases have low D's

Hi there

Yes, research has recently shown that, as with other autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis and lupus, vitamin D deficiency is common amongst Hughes syndrome patients. The exact effect the lack of vitamin D could have on clotting events is still under scrutiny but, as vitamin D is cheap and has many additional advantages, it seems sensible to recommend at least 2000 IU/day.

I'm not sure why your levels won't go up though. Have you been on the tablets for a while? If you have, it may be that there is something stopping you absorbing the vitamin D.

Please watch this video.

Just remember medical and pharmaceutical profession will never recommend this for the only reason that if every one feels better, they lose their bread and butter.
