Fragmin and bleeding

Hi all im a bit concerned im on fragmin and this morning I was getting my daily morning sickness and when I looked up my nose had bled everywhere but blew it and then it stopped then this evening I passed a stool and bled but I am slightly constipated sorry if this is tmi but does this sound ok or should I get medical help. Thanks xx

Hi there, I had these nose bleeds during my first pregnancy, I did always go and check them out with the team looking after my blood, and it was normally ok, but you do need to let them know to be on the safe side. Mary F x

My opinion is that any unusual signs of bleeding should be checked out by a medical professional. I recently had over two liters of blood in my abdomen and had no idea that I was bleeding internally. I thought I was constipated, but it turned out my intestines were shutting down because they were bathed in blood. You can't be too careful. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I agree check with your doctors. I had a nose bleed a while ago, thankfully I was actually in hospital at the time, and it took the doctors over 5 hours to stop it. They told me, rule of thumb, if your nose bleeds for 20 minutes or more, it's a 999 call, that was from the ENT doctors, who knew I was on warfarin. I also believe any unusual bleeding should be checked as a just in case.
