Well I have always been good with having blood taken, but on Wednesday the nurse at hospital was so busy that he hurt me and now have a lump, I phoned and they said it would go away. Its annoying as all thoughts going through head.
Anyone else had this kind of thing happen. I am on Clexane and Warfarin

G'day Daisy, I have recently had the same issue. I have veinous draws every two weeks . Following a blood pressure test a few days later caused the vein to blow leaving a large lump about the size of 3 peas side by side.
It took a month to clear up.
A dopper indicated the clot but it was localised and not causing problems.
This sounds like it is due to a clumsy rushed nurse, should settle in week or so!! I had this too, made sure to tell nurse off next time I came across her!!
We don't need any more bumps and bruises, sure you like me can make plenty ourselves!!
Hi yes same thing happened with me. The only problem is that when I had a blood test on Tuesday the vein was difficult to get blood from, and it hurt! The nurse said that I probably have some scarring and to use my other arm from now on. I do try to alternate arms usually, but had the right arm done 3 times in a row because i am left handed and had to go off to do a physical job.
My phlebotomist and I agree that all my draws shall be on my right arm -- we are "saving" my left for old(er) age. I don't get those bumps very often, but I do get them (to my phlebotomist's great embaressment!) Keep an eye on it and see a doc if it gets worse. Good luck.
