Looking for APS specialist in Colorado who takes insurance

Hi everyone. New to this and I understand that Jill Schofield is one of the top experts in the US but she no longer accepts insurance and my family cannot afford her rates without it.

Kathryn Hassell is also listed on the apsfa.org list for Colorado but my understanding is she has retired.

I am not having luck with my local system (UC Health), rheumatologist sends me to hematologist who sends me to neurologist who sends me back to rheumatologist and so on.

Anyone else in Colorado you can recommend?

Thanks so much

Were you previously a patient of Dr. Schofield? If so, How long ago?

Might try this clinic. They accept insurance.

I’ve found clinics that offer infusion therapy have well qualified rheumatologists.

I have not been a patient of hers. Thanks for the tip.

I was a patient of hers when she was still at UCH and Immuno E. Then she moved to her own office and no longer took Insurance. In the healthcare industry I was treated like a hot potato! I went to a Hematologist at Sky Ridge and he undiagnosed me after all the blood work done twice. I had a blood clot in my leg and my lung during Covid. I’m on Eliquis for life but he still doesn’t think I have APS. Good luck with the search.

Please research--I don't believe Eloquis is helpful for APS! Need Warfarin

I was a patient of Dr Hassell (now retired) for years, met Dr Schofield when she was working with Dr Hassell. I followed her to ImmunoE with Dr Hassell's blessing, and then to her new independent office. I wish I could help you, I'm so lucky to see her, I try to limit my appointments due to cost, but she is a truly exceptional doctor, and she will not quit until she finds the answer to help you. I am on Eliquis (over 7 years now) and she has done wonders for my health. Are you in the Denver metro area?

I paid out of pocket for a complete work up with Dr. Jill Schofield. It is the best healthcare money I have spent. Her thorough work up continues to be the framework I use to figure out how to live after a thrombosis due to my APS. Can not recommend highly enough.

Hi Queen- I am in California and highly recommend a doctor in Beverly Hills named Dr. Daniel Wallace. He is a top specialist in the US and will do video visits. He is well known, published on the subject matter and taught me so much about the disease and other adjacent issues associated with APS. It is a short plane ride from Denver for an initial visit and he may be able to refer you to someone more local. I highly recommend Dr. Wallace.
